Golfers at The Belfry who took part in this year's Macmillan Celebrity Golf Day had no excuse for tension being the cause of poor scoring. Hosted by Johnny Briggs MBE, the 20 corporate teams each headed by a celebrity captain including Kriss Akabusi, Willie Thorne, Leon Haslam and many more, took to the golf course on Sept 2nd. Massage Table Store part of the Hive Group of Companies based in Tamworth placed three of their top of the range massage tables complete with masseurs at the disposal of the players before they competed over the arduous world famous Brabazon course. Dawn Stakounis, Managing Director of the Hive Group of Companies comments; “This is an extremely worthwhile cause, which is very close to my heart. I am hugely honoured that we have been asked to support the charity in this way.” There was no charge for the service but participants were asked to make a suitable donation to the charity, which goes towards improving the lives of people affected by cancer by providing practical, medical, emotional and financial care.
